Library’s historic 1915 Carnegie building to renovations to the
Bardavon's 1869 Opera House, KCS has experience performing
restorations, retrofits, and additions on historic buildings
throughout the region. In addition to Key's experience in
historic renovation construction, the company is also at the
forefront of renewable construction aka "Green Building"
A prime example of both of these competencies is KCS's revitalization of the 150 year old "Red Barn" in Beacon NY, where the company transformed the dilapidated structure into a LEED Certified Building for the Scenic Hudson River Center for Arts and Environmental Education Program. As part of the Sustainable Sites Initiative for achieving LEED Gold Certification, KCS works closely with certified consultants to provide the necessary LEED commissioning requirements in addition to performing energy efficient, environmentally responsible design and construction practices.
